    MEMBRANE CHOICE

    To ensure the performance, durability, and comfort of your floating floor, it is important to use a suitable underlayment. A quality under-floor membrane helps improve acoustic and thermal insulation, compensates for minor floor irregularities, and extends the floor's lifespan.

    • SONO Silence membrane : the most versatile choice, ideal for good insulation and balanced performance in all rooms.

    • ISO-ER polymer membrane: retains some warmth at the floor level and is especially suitable for basements, particularly if the concrete slab is not perfectly even.

    Installation Guide

    Quick Installation Steps

    1. Before starting the installation of your product, you or your installer must ensure the product matches the invoice (quantity, color, model, defect-free product, boxes from the same batch, etc.). No claims will be accepted after the product is installed. An installed product is considered accepted by you.
    2. Please also make sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions and/or recognized industry practices for proper installation. Depending on the location of your project and the type of installation desired, additional checks may be necessary to confirm that the product is suitable for this use.
    3. Before starting, ensure that the floor, underlayment, and room are at room temperature (ideally between 18 °C and 24 °C) for at least 48 hours. This step allows the material to acclimate and prevents any movement due to expansion.
    4. Before beginning the installation, open a few boxes and lay out the planks dry to visualize the pattern, grain, and color shades. This step ensures a uniform and high-end arrangement, making sure the layout of the planks highlights the natural details of the finish.
    5. Make sure the surface is clean, dry, flat, and free of debris.
    6. Membrane installation: Roll out the appropriate underlayment membrane over the entire surface to be covered. The joints must be well aligned and sealed according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
    7. Laying the first row: Install the first row of planks on the membrane, parallel to the wall, leaving a ¼ inch (6 mm) gap between the wall and the planks to allow for expansion. Make sure the row is straight.
    8. Plank interlocking: Check that each plank is properly interlocked with the next. A good fit is essential to ensure the floor's strength and durability.
    9. Row alignment: When laying the second row, ensure there is an offset of at least 8 inches (20 cm) between the plank joints to create a harmonious visual effect and better stability.
    10. Continue the installation making sure each plank is properly interlocked with the previous one, as a poor fit will prevent proper assembly.
    11. Once the installation is complete, install baseboards or finishing moldings to cover the expansion gap. Avoid fixing the baseboards directly to the floating floor so as not to hinder its ability to move.

    Processing Time

    Orders are usually processed within 1 to 3 business days. Please note that our customer service team does their best to respond to you as quickly as possible. Our agents are available Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

    Shipping Methods & Timeframes

    Delivery across Quebec (3–14 business days)

    We deliver everywhere in Quebec. Delivery fees start at $150 and vary depending on your delivery address and the quantities ordered. Please note that our delivery fees are offered at a preferential rate for online orders.

    In-store Pickup (24–48 business hours)

    After placing your order online, you will receive an email when your order is ready for pickup. Please come to the agreed store address. A staff member will explain the procedure to collect your order safely and efficiently.

    Return, Exchange, and Refund Policy

      In-store returns within 30 days of purchase. To be eligible for a refund or exchange, products must be returned in person to one of our branches within 30 days of purchase.

    Conditions

    • Items must be in their original packaging, unopened, and in perfect condition.
    • Boxes must be intact and, where applicable, still strapped (not unbound).
    • No returns will be accepted for items that are unpacked, damaged, or used.
    • No pickups will be made by our team or by a carrier. Returns must be made exclusively in store by the customer.

    Special-order Products

    • No refunds on special-order products.
    • No refund of deposit on ordered products. However, your deposit may be applied to any new order. If the ordered products have already arrived or are in transit, an exchange fee of 50% as well as transport fees will be deducted from your deposit.
    • L’Entrepôt de la Réno does its utmost to provide products within the indicated timeframes (15–20 business days). However, the company disclaims any liability for delays in receiving merchandise or delays affecting your installation work.

    In-stock Products

    Except for clearance products and lot remainders, returns are accepted without return fees within 30 days from the invoice date, for full, clean boxes only.

      Calculation of Required Quantities

      The advisors at L'Entrepôt de la Réno can help the customer calculate the necessary product quantities. However, the customer must provide the measurements of the area to be covered and releases the company from any liability regarding errors in quantity calculations.

      You can use our online calculator to quickly estimate the number of boxes required. Since this is an estimate, we recommend that you confirm the final quantities. The calculator does not account for expected losses. If you need assistance, our team is available at info@entrepotdelareno.com

      Receiving Your Order

      When you receive an order, whether by delivery or pickup, you must inspect the products upon receipt. If an item is damaged or does not match the ordered product, do not accept the order and inform us immediately. Once the order is accepted, it is considered complete and compliant, and no exchanges or refunds can be made thereafter.

      Installation

      Before beginning the installation of your product, you or your installer must ensure the product matches the invoice (quantity, color, model, defect-free product, boxes from the same batch, etc.). No claims will be accepted after the product is installed. An installed product is considered accepted by you.

      Other

    • No exchanges or refunds will be accepted on installation products such as adhesive, cement, (etc.) from October 15 to April 15. These types of products are sensitive to freezing.
    • No price adjustments after purchase.
    • You have up to one month to cancel an order for in-stock products (except for special orders). After this period, you will lose your deposit.
    • Storage fees may be charged if the pickup date is exceeded by more than 15 days.
    • Prices on an in-store quote are guaranteed for a maximum period of 5 days, assuming the merchandise is still available in our warehouses.
    • All bathtubs, sinks, showers, and kitchen sinks are final sales.
    • Heating wires and thermostats are final sales.
    • A fee of 2% per month, up to a maximum of 24% annually, will be added for any overdue account.
